Notes

  • [a] If the tomb had an inscription, it named the Third Order of St. Francis.
  • [b] The sources note Giovanna's membership in the Third Order of Franciscans and her marriage to Tommaso Uccellini, but are unclear as to whether the monument carried either an inscription or a coat of arms. The 1596 sepoltuario suggests that the tomb had passed to the tertiaries of Santa Croce, but whether directly from mona Giovanna or later is also difficult to determine.
