[a] Stefano Rosselli describes the tomb slab as old (antica) and that its cover had been restored in 1603.
[b] The original tomb inscription makes a point of noting that Jacopo di Francesco del Bene was the first burial in the tomb.
[c] The tomb carries Jacopo's date of death, and it is not known how long it took for the tomb to be installed.
