April 23rd, 1562

Notes

  • [a] It is not known when the jurist messer Rosso d'Andreozzo Giovanni acquired rights to a grave site at the foot of the second pier on the left from the entrance, but he changed his mind and opted for burial in the Badia Fiorentina instead, where he was laid to rest on April 14th, 1427. His sons still owned the tomb in 1440, when it remained unadorned. The tomb was conceded to Girolamo Ceffini only in 1562. Whether it had been adorned or used in the interim is presently unknown.
  • [b] Though he acquired rights to a burial spot in the Franciscan church of Santa Croce, M. Rosso d'Andreozzo Giovanni decided instead on burial in the monastery church of the Badia Fiorentina.
