[a] The tomb carries the date January 1, 1378. Given the age of the tomb, and the year of death, this would suggest a death date in 1379. However, Jacopo Tedaldi gives a date of death for Tedaldo as 31 October 1377, though he may be confusing this with the date of his testament drawn up by S. Goro Sergrifi, which may still be kept in ASFi, NA, 18942.
