[a] The sepoltuari note that the original inscription honoring Ambrogio di Meo were in a circle around the coat of arms while the second inscription honoring his great grandson Piero, described as more modern (più moderne), were underneath the arms, presumably in lines of text.
[b] Given that we do not know when Paolo died, it is difficult to say whether he inherited the tomb set up by his father.
[c] Given that his son refurbished the tomb and added a new inscription, Bernardo di Bernardo must have owned it for a period of time.
[d] At some point, most likely in the early sixteenth-century, Piero Boni added a plaque to his ancestral tomb with his name.
[e] According to the Priorista Mariani, Pier Maria was the last in the family line and was buried at Santa Maria Novella with the family arms at his feet.
