[a] According to O'Brien (65), spaces for tombs in the tribune became available only in November 1541 after the del Tovaglia family granted permission to the Servites to allow others not associated with any of the chapels to install tombs.
[b] Stefano Rosselli noted that the tomb's dedicatee, Fronte di Fronte (or Fronti) died in the 1580s, the last in his family line. The tomb passed to the heirs of messer Giovanni Parigi. In 1655, there was no sign left of either the tomb's coat of arms or inscription.
[c] Fronte was the last in the family line and was buried in the family tomb with his coat of arms; through female relatives the tomb passed to the Parigi family but had disappeared by 1655
