  • [a] The Priorista Mariani noted two tombs in the chapel of dedicated by Manetto da Filicaia, with one carrying an inscription. It is unclear whether the inscription simply read "Di Manetto Filicaia" or that the author was simply identifying the founder of the burial chapel.
  • [b] It stands to reason that Manetto would have been buried in the tomb that carried his name in the chapel he founded.
  • [c] It is likely that Niccolaio was buried in the tomb his father established that was later inherited by his son Piero.
