Notes

  • [a] In 1367, Giorgio di Francesco di Lorenzo Buini installed a tomb with a wall marker that carried arms and an inscription in his parish church of San Remigio. Stefano Rosselli describes the wall marker as old (antico) and notes it was past the main door, suggesting it was in the retrofacade of the right aisle. However, it could have been on the right wall. The tomb slab renovated in 1588 was in the floor, either oriented west, if the marker was in the retrofacade, or south if in the aisle wall.
