Notes

  • [a] A 1446 inventory of S. Simone notes hangings and cloths (palio and fregio) with the arms of the Lottini and Covoni families.
  • [b] Stefano Rosseli noted the extinction of the Lottini family in the person of Marcantonio di Filippo Lottini and that the chapel's patronage was eventually given to the Galilei family who redecorated the high altar but did not remove the Lottini family arms.
  • [c] An inventory of S. Simone drawn up in 1446 includes an altar cloth that carried the Lottini and Covoni family arms in recognition of the marriage of Margherita to Lorenzo Lottini
