Notes

  • [a] Second cousins Tommaso and Giulio della Rena renovated a tomb that had been given to their family in 1503 after being owned by the Compagnia delle Pinzochere di S. Agostino, which had a second tomb nearby. It is unclear who had first acquired the tomb or whether the tomb had remained without della Rena markings until 1588.
  • [b] The della Rena family acquired this tomb spot from the Third Order sisters known as the Compagnia delle Pinzochere or Ammantellate di S. Agostino in 1503.
  • [c] The new tomb slab honoring the second cousins Tommaso di Giovanni Battista and Giulio di Piero della Rena family carries the date 1583.
