Here are placed the bones of Francesco son of Michele of the Vieri, Florentine patrician and philosopher publicly teaching logic at the Pisan school, a youth of exceptional expectation, who traveled to Rome in the holy year of the layman for the sake of religion and while he was rushing from there to Florence, at the crossing of another river then by chance enlarged by rain, swallowed by the floods he unfortunately died at the age of 26. Camillo, grieving, put this tomb for his well deserving brother in the year of salvation 1575. |
