- [a] Rosselli recorded that the altar was "modern" and carried neither arms nor inscription.
- [b] While Rosselli calls the north side of the church the "banda della strada" (street side), he does not give a moniker to the south side except to note that he is continuing his counter-clockwise movement through the church and turning back towards the high altar. The altar of the Crucifix was above the set of stairs that separated the area of the high altar from the main body of the church.
