Notes

  • [] Visite Pastorali 15. Atti di visite diverse dell’arcivescovo card. Alessandro de’ Medici (1575-1605): 2. Visita pastorale a monasteri e chiese parrocchiali della città (1584)
  • [a] Rosselli noted that the arms were partly worn away, and he could not make out all elements of the shield. The cover was of macigno stone while the marker was of marble.
  • [b] A pastoral visit undertaken during the archbishopric of cardinal Alessandro de'Medici in 1584 noted that the tomb had belonged to the heirs of the tomb's honoree but had reverted to the monastic community of nuns. In the mid-seventeenth century, Stefano Rosselli gave no indication in his sepoltuario that it had been conceded to another family.
  • [c] The coat of arms on the tomb of Francesco di Giovanni di Luca di Bonaguida was quite illegible by Stefano Rosselli's day, but he was able to transcribe what was left of the inscription and note that the arms had a horizontal band and some sort of decoration above it.
  • [d] Rosselli says that the tomb was near to the prior's tomb towards the steps to the chancel
