  • [a] Rosselli made a guess that the arms showing a bear belonged to the family of the bishop Antonio d'Orso, whose tomb in the cathedral had similar arms. However, their arms show a bear against a checkerboard while the drawing by Rosselli and in the anonymous sepoltuario show a blank field beneath the bear.
