This side of the cloister is the second of four in Rosselli's list. He describes this loggia and its wall (facciata) as between the corner with the first loggia, the nearby door that went from the cloister into the sacristy, and the door of the convent (Porta del Convento) towards the Ponte Santa Trinita, that is, along the compass north, or liturgical east, side of the cloister between its compass east and west ends. Stefano Buonsignori's map shows the proximity of the San Jacopo cloister to the S. Trinita bridge at its left.
