[a] Rosselli describes this altar as relatively new, belonging to a foreign family unfamiliar to Florentines, and the first on the left upon entering the church.
[b] Rosselli says that the patrons put their arms in various places, but he did not draw them, noting that since the family was foreign, and unknown to Florentines (a noi incognita), he would not say much about the altar save transcribing the inscription on the tomb beneath it.
