  • [a] The tomb was at the foot of the holy water font opposite the Panciatichi chapel
  • [b] The tomb had no markings, but della Foresta and Rosselli believed it was for members of the parish.
  • [c] Gravedigger records indicate that Cosimo was buried in his parish church of Santa Maria Maggiore. Whether it was in this or another tomb remains unknown.
  • [d] Stefano Rosselli guessed that this tomb was for members of the parish, but he was not certain.
  • [e] We know that the Quistelli buried at least one child in Santa Maria Maggiore during their time living in the parish, but it remains unclear whether it was in this or another tomb.
