Notes

  • [a] The monks gave patronage rights to two Spini family widows to establish two altars in the sacristy. Mona Nuccia, widow of Filippo Spini, gave 60 gold florins in May 1336 to found an altar dedicated to Saint Lawrence.
  • [b] According to Tigler (2022, p. 47), the cult and masses celebrated at this Spini family altar were transferred to the new Ognissanti chapel after its foundation in 1365.
  • [c] Guido Tigler (2022, p. 45) proposes that both altars were oriented east, against the wall shared with the chiesetta delle donne, with the altar of San Lorenzo closer to the sacristy doors (one to the church, the other to the cloister).
  • [d] According to Tigler (2022, p. 47), the cult and masses celebrated at this Spini family altar were transferred to the new Ognissanti chapel after its foundation in 1365.
