Clemente Petra, Count of Silvano, first great prior of the knightly Order of St. Stephen, famous for the arts of war and peace, who long and often rendered his useful and faithful service in both matters to Cosimo de' Medici and to his son Francesco, grand dukes of Tuscany. For which he was deservedly decorated by them. Lucrezia his wife, mourning, placed this for her well deserving husband. He lived 53 years. He died on the ides of February 1574.
