  • [a] The tabernacle is described in an inventory of San Procolo's chapels dated March 9th, 1440 according to the Florentine calendar (CRS, 78: 386, fol. 78) and again in a second inventory datable around 1445 or 1446 (CRS, 78: 386, fol. xxxiiii).
  • [b] The inventory does not specify which Villani family was responsible for the tabernacle, but considering that the Villani Stoldi lived nearby, it was most likely this Villani lineage responsible for the tabernacle.
