Sa. MDLXX 6 Idus Jan. A tomb for the Most Reverend Lord Alessandro Strozzi, son of Matteo, bishop of Volterra, distinguished for his character and learning. Camillo Strozzi had it erected for his most beloved brother; after his death, so that it might be shared by himself and his descendants, the brothers Alfonso and Lorenzo, sons of Carlo, and the brothers Bernardo and Alessandro, sons of Cammillo, erected it for their excellent uncle and well-deserving kinsman in the year of salvation 1570, on the sixth day before the Ides of January.
