Notes

  • [a] According to the chapel's tomb inscription, the altar was given by Deo di Vanni del Beccuto on June 1st, 1383.
  • [b] According to the 1427 catasto declaration of Deo di Deo, son of the chapel's patron, an endowment through the elder Deo's testament in 1386 promised 30 florins per year to pay the salaries of priests and other related expenses. Deo di Deo claimed 14 years' worth of expenses against his total wealth. ASFi, Catasto, 1427, 79, fol. 195.
  • [c] According to the 1427 catasto declaration of Deo di Deo Beccuti, his mother left three florins per year for an annual memorial mass in perpetuity. Given that he claimed 14 years' worth of expenses against his total wealth, she likely died in 1413, though it could have been earlier given that 1413 was the year of the last prestanza in which Deo paid a little over 53 florins. ASFi, Catasto, 1427, 79, fol. 195.
