[a] The sepoltuari note that arms decorated the arches, vaults, and capitals. Over the door from the chapel to the cemetery of the friars another stemma honoring was painted, showing a black rooster (gallo on a gold ground.
[b] Ulivieri di Carbone tasked his sons to build the chapel after his death, which occurred in 1337.
[c] Francesco purchased patronage rights to the chapel of Sant'Antonio in 1557 (or 1558, according to Fineschi) on the condition that he not remove any coats of arms or monuments of the previous patrons, the Carboni. Writing in 1617, fra Niccolò Sermartelli noted that though Francesco had left instructions in his testament for his heirs to refurbish the chapel and install a marble epitaph bearing his name, but that this had not yet come to pass. The copyist did not provide any additional information, suggesting that it was never installed.
[d] The tomb, described as a simple slab of sandstone, was installed at the foot of the chapel's altar.
