According to Stefano Rosselli, the church was completely renovated, "virtually rebuilt from its foundations" (quasi da fondamenti rinnovato), at the behest of the Antinori family, whose arms could be seen throughout the complex. He otherwise felt that there was nothing noteworthy to record.
