Space Type
religious community
A facility for a group of people living together, including regular clergy and those who have taken vows as monks, friars, or nuns. Religious groups were frequently transferred from one facility to another, meaning that what started as a parish church or monastery could become a mendicant friary or female convent with a change of resident group.
