S. Michele Berteldi

One of the original thirty-six parishes of Florence, San Michele Bertelde, dedicated to the archangel Michael, was completely rebuilt in the early seventeenth century after passing to the Theatine Order in 1592. In his sepoltuario, Stefano Rosselli does not catalogue the extant church but instead gives its earlier history and notes eight memorials that predate the new church.
