Rosselli indexed four tombs in two Oltrarno churches under the name "Lapi in S. Spirito," but inconsistencies among them suggest that they were at least two, if not four, distinct groups.

Despite Rosselli’s moniker, this group’s tomb was in San Jacopo sopr’arno with no arms and an Italian inscription making clear that Lapo was a first name and avonym (grandfather’s name), not a surname.
