The Ceramelli Papiani archive indicates that the family had three variations of their coats of arms, two with trees (one set on a mount, the other showing its roots), and a third with only a six-peaked mount. Stefano Rosselli indexed the latter separately as Becchi S. Maria in Verzaia, suggesting that he thought they were a different clan from the family resident in Santa Croce.
