Notes

  • [a] In 1429, Antonio di Nofri di Romolo registered hs birth date as January 29th, 1391 with Tratte officials, even though his brother had given his age as 34 in his 1427 catasto declaration, which would render a birth year of 1393 rather than 1391.
  • [b] An Antonio di Nofri di Romolo rigattiere was elected guild consul on August 18th, 1439 from a 1434 purse. While it seems an odd occupation change, it is almost certain that the stonemason and used clothes dealer were one in the same person.
  • [c] Antonio's father had died by April 1417.
  • [d] Antonio was declared in his brother's household in the 1427 catasto, living in a house in the canto a Rossello, which corresponds to today's via Guelfa and via dei Ginori. A neighbor declared their parish as Santa Riperata, suggesting the same for the Romoli family.
