Notes

  • [a] A six-year lease dated January 17th, 1305 between maestro Salvi and his son messer Lotto indicates that Salvi was still alive and renting a farm with a worker's house, trees, vineyards, and other cultivated land for 100 florins per year. The document was drawn up by ser Filippo di Jacopo da Villa Magna and is kept in the Salviati Archive, Centro Archivistico della Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, no. 21.
  • [b] The inscription on the tomb notes that it is for the doctor Maestro Salvi di Ser Guglielmo del Forese and his sons, of which Salvestro was one of five.
