Salviati, Jacopo (ser) di Mag. Salvi di M. Guglielmo di Forese di Gottifredo

Description

Ser Jacopo's father maestro Salvi installed a wall tomb on the facade of the Florentine Badia, but Stefano Rosselli reasonably hypothesizes that a tomb in the crypt of Santa Croce was installed by ser Jacopo for himself and his children.

Notes

  • [a] Mastursi says that ser Jacopo Salviati died before May 21st, confirmed by a note in the Carte Dei indicating his wife Letta was named as a widow in a document notarized by ser Alberto di Guido in 1341. Oddly, a tree in the same Carte Dei notes gives his year of death as 1347.
