Notes

  • [a] The tomb was found, excavated, and installed in the wall of the Corticina de Preti in 1690 and thus is not in Rosselli's original sepoltuario.
  • [b] Among the tomb markers found and excavated in 1690, this one was cut on both sides with inscriptions suggesting reuse of the tomb marker when the rights of burial passed from one family to another. The ASFi sepoltuario notes that when the stone was installed in the Corticina de Preti, the side with Bondo's inscription was walled up (2b), and the side with Alberto's faced out (2a). It may be that the excavators thought Alberto's side was more recent, perhaps based on a different style of lettering, but the records give no indication as to how the choice to display Alberto's side was made. The stone does not seem to be among those installed in the walkway alongside Santa Felicita today.
