A group of tombs were discovered in 1690 within the nuns' enclosure, presumably in their cloister. They were excavated and installed in the wall of the so-called Corticina de Preti, which may refer to the vaulted hall along the exterior of Santa Felicita where some of the markers are installed today. However, the fact that not all of the markers in the 1690 list seem to be in this wall, they may have been moved again at a later date when some markers were discarded or recycled.
Lorenzo Mariani (1665-1739) added the list of Corticina de Preti markers as an addendum to his copy of Rosselli's sepoltuario now kept at the Accademia Toscana di Scienze e Lettere "La Colombaria" (IT ATSL MS 53.7, fol. 426v-476v), which likely served as the basis for the copy in the Archivio di Stato di Firenze (Manoscritti 625), likely made by Giovanni Battista Dei (1702-89).
