Idus Septembris, Administr. Eccl: 37. Aet: 67. Let this be a monument of eternal memory for Francesco Falconcini nobleman of Volterra, priest of this church. He once had ordained it for himself and for his most noble and outstanding mother Antonia. But Giovanni Battista Falconcini gave it rightly according to the wishes of his testified brother. He gave it to his deceased mother out of piety. Francesco died in the year 1615 on the 8th Ides of September [September 6th], administrator of the church for 37 years, 67 years of age.

  • [b] The inscription used the Julian calendar, rendering the date as the 8th day before the Ides of September.
  • [c] The marble plaque no longer seems to survive, likely removed during the resurfacing of the church floor in 1821.
