Notes

  • [a] Cristina Cheli notes that city gravedigger records indicate Antonio's date and place of burial.
  • [b] According to Carter (63-64), Giulio died in Madrid. After aborting a plan to build a tomb for him there, his body was exhumed and brought back to Florence for burial at Santa Croce.
  • [c] According to Carter (91n24), the Corsi family spent 620 ducats on Settimia's funeral. Her widower Jacopo would name his daughter born to Laura Corsini in 1598 after her.
  • [d] According to the Priorista Mariani, Bardo's funeral was lavish (fu sepolto in S. Croce con grand'onore).
