  • [a] Stefano Rosselli reports that the prior of San Remigio told him there once was a tabernacle framing an image of the Virgin Mary near the head of the right aisle past the pilaster separating it from the nave, most likely in the retrofacade. It carried the arms of the Bagnesi and Rinieri families, but there was nothing left for Rosselli to see.
  • [b] Given that Catharina decorated and endowed the nearby Bagnesi family altar, it seems highly probable that she was responsible for the tabernacle that bore her and her husband Cristoforo's arms.
