Known in the sources as the navata dell'Epistola, a name derived from the tradition of reading Paul's letters (epistles) and other non-Gospel texts at the right of the high altar from the viewer's perspective. The right aisle corresponds to the liturgical south side of the church.

Notes

  • [a] According to the Soprintendenza, the altarpiece has been displayed in various places. The painting, showing the Coronation of the Virgin with saints, was described by Rosselli as at the head of the right aisle, but today adorns the altar at the head of the left aisle.
  • [b] Santi di Tito, who died on July 25th, 1603 had begun designs for the altarpiece commissioned by Bartolomeo Spadacci. His son Tiberio completed the painting, and it seems to have been installed by mid January 1604.
  • [c] Though the original altar and tomb have disappeared, the Spadacci coat of arms and their chapel's altarpiece remain in the church.
