Notes

  • [a] Buonaccolto appeared in his mother's 1427 tax declaration with no age given. He was certainly born after December 1411 given that he was too young to be seated in the Twelve when his name was drawn for the office on December 12th, 1441. He last appears in the Tratte on December 16th, 1485 when he was drawn but not seated for Silk Guild consul.
  • [b] Buonaccolto was drawn but not seated as Guild Consul on December 16th, 1485. It is quite likely that he was buried in the Santa Croce cemetery tomb identified as for him and his brothers. Gravedigger records could confirm both his burial date and location.
  • [c] Buonaccolto was drawn but not seated for Silk Guild consul on December 30th, 1484 and again on December 16th, 1485. His name first appeared in an election purse in 1439, which would have required guild membership.
  • [d] Buonaccolto's widowed mother filed her 1427 catasto declaration from the Ruote district in 1427.
  • [e] The Priorista Mariani puts the family in the parish of San Simone, and Buonaccolto's mother filed her 1446 tax declaration from the Bue gonfalone, which Buonaccolto served as a representative to the Sixteen in 1474.
  • [f] Buonaccolto was living with his widowed mother and two brothers in 1446, as cited by Lorenz Böninger, “Dieci schiaffi per un Terenzio? Il lodo di Niccolò Niccoli per ser Zanobi di ser Mino e Giovanni Aretino (30 novembre 1413).” Medioevo e rinascimento 24 (2013): 43–52, p. 52n36.
