  • [a] Though Bonagiunta's nickname is on the tomb, it was for the use of women related to him and to his brother Benincasa. Unfortunately we do not have the name of Giuntino's wife (or wives).
  • [b] He and his brother Benincasa installed a tomb for their wives, and it stands to reason that he is buried in the tomb set up by his brother even though it did not carry his name as the later tomb did.
